Hypocrite
Yes, I am a hypocrite! and a liar too. I did see Mchandsomepants this weekend. He spared a night for me :) When I left for his house I realised I was wearing a short shirt (with no stockings or tights) - but I was wearing my khaki jacket. However, when we left his place to get take-away....I didn't wear a jacket - GASP. I know, I know! How could I!?

Weekend
another weekend without Mchandsomepants. I will be sitting on the couch watching bad tv with Malteasers tonight. Tomorrow I will read my new Frankie and perhaps start going to the hairdresser to strip back to my natural colour. Oh, I miss it more then I thought I would.
This is probably one of my favourite photo's of myself. I feel like I look completely different now (which is why I allowed a pic of my face) I never smile with teeth anymore - I look good, so young.

WOMEN OF BRISBANE
Didn't you get the memo!? IT'S WINTER.
I am surprised at how many women - especially the younger generation aren't rugging up. Girls are still walking around the city at night in short shorts and singlets. I can't tell if I want to slap them in the face or throw them a snuggie. It's not like jackets are 'so not right now', you can actually find some great coats/jackets/cardigans around this season.
And don't you dare think you are getting out of this, mature age ladies! The professional women are almost just as bad -I see women in the morning and after work (coldest parts of the day) just in blouses or long sleeve shirts. I know you are in an office all day but it isn't that hard to throw on a jacket in the morning.

Today
$20 clutch - It is a little dirty but I still love it so! It opens by lifting up the little gold feather :) It reminds me alot of the Vintage Dior clutch Carrie had in the last episodes of Sex and the City season 6. Chic!
This tin cost me $2! I grabbed it before anyone else could. I actually didn't see it at first. I took the picture below on my phone then was like "Whats that behind the amazing candle stick!? :0"
Another photo I took on my phone of the gorgeous glasswear they have at St Vinnies in Paddington.
$5 Cupcake storage thing - SO CUTE! I saw it in the window as I walked into St Vinnies in The Valley and I had to have it. Mine.
$4 shopper bag from Mombassa (not second hand) They also had a red one with white polka dots! :D 
Outfit from today - I probably looked bad but I was so comfortable. Baggy white top, Flannelet (I wear it to bed - so comfy) and my new cropped khaki jacket, - I also took my new soft clutch for a spin. f.
p.s. WHY HAVEN'T I SEEN SEX AND THE CITY 2 YET!!??? sheesh

Before I go to bed,
I thought I'd share a few things. As I briefly mentioned before, DO NOT go shopping when you are tired! Especially after your first week as a full-time employee at 6pm on a busy Friday night in the City. Bad idea. Thoughts and reasoning skills severely diminish. To all the innocent shoppers, I'm sorry - I probably looked like a zombie walking around the shops touching everything that looked pretty.

1) Cap sleeved, scoop neck tops. Creme Lace(Target) and Pink Tiered (Myer - might return, haven't decided) 2) Khaki Jacket (Sportsgirl) 3) Dark blue velvet sequined soft Clutch (Sportsgirl/AMAZING!!??)
And here is that green top (of mine) I mentioned a couple of posts ago:
AND here is what I slapped on as soon as I got home - My old flanalette and fur jumper!?? (not mine - borrowed[stole] from my sisters house) It's OK to feel pretty even if you are just sitting on the couch with no bra on!

Working 9-5 ain't so bad but the weekends have never seemed so far away. This week I got my first/last pay cheques. Goodbye Target! (I still have my discount card, shh!)
Since McHandsomepants is working all weekend, I've decided to go shopping. ALONE - I do it best when I don't have people with me. I'm heading into Fortitude Valley and Paddington for some Op-shopping and to find me some of these baby's (here) If I remember correctly, I posted a picture of me wearing the Large Ivory Rosey Posey Headband (not mine) from the Races here
I REALLY want to get the Wooly Rose Headband and the Small Ivory Rosey Posey Headband! If I can't find them at the stockists I will have to bite the bullet and pay $10 postage.

DIY project. Yesterday after work I went into Lowes (A horrible cheap mens clothing store) and bought a pair of mens trousers/chino pants. I spent about 2.5 hours on the sewing machine - 1.5 hours longer then I should have, stopping every 5 minutes to fix the thread. I (eventually) finished with a pair of pants that will hopefully look like this. I know there are millions of these style of pants in the shops this season but none fit me properly - My thighs are too thick (right on sista!) So I thought, DO IT YOURSELF. I haven't sewn anything in a long time - I remember why.

I was strolling through blogiverse when I saw a young lass wearing a great green blouse - here - And I realised, I have one very similar! I bought it a few years back from an op-shop. I wore it once of twice but it now lives in the bottom draw in my cupboard.

Oh My
So last night was a bust! It ended up just being me and my friend Kar. We still had cocktails in West End (The Sling Lounge/Bar) but only stayed out for 2 hours haha. I still had a wonderful time though.
I would have liked to go out tonight for dinner and a movie - Sex and the City 2, perhaps - but I don't have many friends haha and my boyfriend is at work :( So instead, I locked myself in my room and went through my jewellery draw!

I thought I had more rings then this. I only wear about 5 of them.
I got the three chain necklace with the diamond cross from a 'friend' for one of my birthdays. She thought I was gothic/emo or was trying to say something mean about my style - The necklace is one of those chains you hook to your belt loops on jeans. But now I wear it as a necklace :) so cuss you! The other chain is just ...chain? I got it from a fabric store. It is actually really long, hangs to about my hips so I've just doubled it over here.
I got this a few years ago in Target (before I worked there) I think it is so cool! I had totally forgotten about it, it just sits in my jewelery draw now. I put old pendants and chains etc in it. I think I might actually start using it again :)

Treasury Oaks Day
Such a gorgeous day today! I was a bit worried it would be a long day, but by the end of the first race I was amazed! The races are so beautiful - The horses are perfect. I even made a bet on race 6, horse 6 - Rafaello. I profited $2.50, I was very pleased.
I wore this vintage black pleated nighty I got last year and a vintage fair for about $10, I had to wear a black singlet and petty coat underneath. I also wore a beige blazer which used to be my mums but I have claimed it as my own now and white roses headband (not mine, details unknown). Sam wills ring, Chanel nailpolish and my XL Sachi clutch.

Tomorrow I am going to the races for the first time ever! It's Lady's day - whatever that means. I'm sure it will be filled with drunk girls in their early twenties wearing very short dresses and very high heels that they can't even walk in (this will entertain me all day) - In my mums words "They'll be drunk as horses" hahaha
I'm going for my friends birthday, I'm sure I will have a fabulous time with Jess and her friends. There will be photos!
