Sunday Picnic

Brisbane from Mount Coot-tha

On Sunday, McHandsome pants and I decided to go for a little picnic. We don't do a lot of things like this, so it was nice to take a drive and discover new places. We decided on Mount Nebo, Jolly's Lookout - I don't remember how - We initially got lost and did a loop around Mount Coot-tha and had to go back to find the right turn off.

It's quite nice at Mount Nebo. A bit of a drive but the views are wonderful.
We stopped in at Coles and decided to get some fruit, biscuits, Jatz and 'fancy cheese' as we call it :P

and ofcourse, I took my satchel! :D

Goodnight

It's storming outside and all I want to do is lie in bed with McHandsomepants while watching Mad Men season 1 (I only started watching this today), but he has already left.

Another weekend over, another week begins.

Take me home

Russh October November issue 36.

I've been feeling a lot lately like I just want to be at home all the time and although I do still live at home, I work full time and spend my weekends with my boyfriend. I get up at 6:30am and get home at 6pm. I need a holiday and I have never felt this feeling more in my life.
It's starting to shine outside and I can hear Stradbroke and Bryon Bay calling my name.

I'm thinking of going to Sydney for a weekend in early December to see my oldest, bestest pal. Friends for eight years. Sometimes we don't talk for as long as eight months but as soon as we pick up the phone, we are right where we left off. I love her and undoubtedly, she loves me too. I'm her 'drug'.

Her words, not mine.

Tober

It's October, which means its spring here in Australia. For the past week it has been pouring torrential rain and today, finally some much needed sunshine! It's still a little chilly this month. This is what I wish I was wearing.

And yes, I am obsessed with those boots.

Flashing Lights

It's Tax time here in Australia! I had so many ideas about what I wanted to spend my return on; Sewing Machine, Camera, Video Camera, Clothes, New Watch etc etc. But I stuck with the camera idea. My friend and I are (/might be) working on a little project that will require video footage. My web cam is dodgy, my current camera is like 6 megapixels -read: so five years ago- and I wanted the option to be able to view the footage as I filmed it. Video cameras are expensive and although you now can flip the screens and take still shots with camcorders, I would feel silly holding a giant video camera just to take a simple shot. Plus, this project may not develop into anything. So, you see my little dilemma.

Solution: Samsung PL101

So far I'm pretty impressed. You will be able to judge for yourself when I upload my first photos from it.

Do you remember

I just watched this beautiful video over at The Filippa. Her best friend sent it to her with the message 'I Love You'.

It makes me miss having a best friend.

I still miss her and I think about the little things she used to do. I dream about her too.
It's my fault though, I couldn't handle it and she didn't understand.
