DIY!

For those of you who are very fashion consious and/or follow a lot of the big named fashion bloggers, you will have already seen The Glamourai talking about the Celine clutches here

Inspired by how simple, chic and fashionable they look, I decided to take a crack at making something similar. Now, obviously mine is not going to look as expensive and professional as the Celine but I took the look and created it into something that can translate into middle-class fashion budgets and then I added a little twist with the cute lining.

I ventured over to my local Spotlight this morning and picked out a few things. I only got half a meter or fabric because I wasn't sure how much or how many I would end up making - I still have tons of fabric left. Luckily, I found some great ends and leftovers in a sale bin. Total:$9.50

I finished this in one afternoon. I've never sewn a zip onto anything before but I did it successfully!

Fashion Overload

Brand-Spankin'-NEW!

I've started to try and incorporate flats into all my sets now because it's more realistic to me. I am 6'3" and do not own a pair of heels nor do I want to - I have enough back problems as it is.

Fashion Haul

Well, well, well - Here it is! The long awaited and hugely delayed fashion haul post I've mentioned a couple of times. Oops.

So, the oldest of these purchases would be the Blue sheer top from Supre and the Leopard print top from Cotton On which I actually got when I was back in Sydney for the weekend (December). The newest is the Camel coloured Zip front Cardigan from Sportsgirl - I actually saw a lady buying this on the day I bought the Sequin Bib Top and the Blue Velvet skirt and decided that I could not go another day without having this cardigan. Now I can't wait until it starts to get chilly so I can rock it.

There are a couple of second hand items in there - I suddenly had the urge to go Op-Shopping one weekend, and so I did. The dress is so cute - very Alexa Chung. I had to re-hem it (on my new Sewing Machine!) as it was slightly too long.

Summer Lovin'

Even though I actually hate Queensland Summer for its brutal daily bashings of unbearable heat that make me feel like I'm in a sauna and leave me without makeup on after 10 minutes outside, I usually can't wait for this time of year (OK - Thats a lie).

Pools, Thunderstorms, Beach getaways, Dancing, Apple Cider, Fruity Iceblocks and Sun Tans.
